Meet the Founders

Meet Erin

With over 25 years of experience in literacy education, Erin is a passionate advocate for equitable access to reading instruction and resources. She began her career in the classroom, teaching middle and high school writing and world literature for a decade before becoming a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). Since then, she has supported literacy in a variety of roles, from resourcing diverse books for schools to advancing independent reading programs and structured literacy interventions.

Today, Erin draws on her background in education, literacy, and project management to design and implement programs that help schools foster confident, lifelong readers. She is deeply committed to collaboration, service, and creating inclusive, supportive learning environments.

Outside of her work in literacy, Erin enjoys hiking scenic trails, tending her garden, and exploring sustainable ways of living.

Meet Kelly

With over two decades in education and youth development, Kelly has dedicated the past eight years to structured literacy as a certified Orton-Gillingham practitioner. Her journey began in youth mentoring before spending 15 years developing literacy programs in the nonprofit sector. She now brings this rich experience to her private practice, offering both online and in-person Orton-Gillingham tutoring. Drawing from her work with students in Denver Public Schools, Mackintosh Academy, and private settings, Kelly combines evidence-based reading instruction with a mentoring approach that builds both academic skills and student confidence.

Kelly's flexible tutoring practice maintains the systematic, multisensory instruction fundamental to the Orton-Gillingham approach in both online and in-person settings, ensuring engaging, high-quality instruction for all learners.

When not working with students, you may find Kelly riding her bike in the wild, knitting a sweater, or enthusiastically playing her ukulele despite her questionable skills.
